Recipes & Rituals

Glow Pantry began with light — and quickly became about care.

These recipes and rituals are drawn from real moments: kitchens, sick days, celebrations, and slow afternoons. They’re not rules or remedies — just gentle ideas for using dried citrus in ways that feel grounding, indulgent, or comforting.

Take what you need. Leave the rest.

Dried Blood Orange and Orange slices

Comfort & Care

Warm Citrus & Honey

On sore-throat days, we reach for warmth first.

A simple mug of warm water, honey, and dried citrus brings comfort through aroma and gentle flavour. Nothing intense. Nothing medicinal. Just something soothing to hold.

Warm Lemon Comfort

When my husband had a sore throat, I added a slice of dried lemon to a mug of freshly boiled water.

The citrus softened slowly, releasing aroma and gentle flavour. He said it was simple, comforting — and genuinely helped him settle for the night.

This isn’t a remedy. Just warmth, steam, and citrus doing what it does best.

That’s it. No measurements. No claims. No pressure.

Everyday Glow

Iced Citrus Refresher

Simple, refreshing ways to enjoy dried citrus day to day.

These are the small moments — a glass of water that feels a little special, an afternoon drink on a warm day, something light and unfussy. Dried citrus softens slowly, releasing flavour without sweetness or syrups, making everyday hydration feel intentional rather than routine.

Hot Day Drink - Iced Citrus Sparkler

On hot days, simplicity wins.

Add a slice of dried orange or lemon to a glass of ice, top with sparkling water, and let it sit for a minute before drinking. As the citrus softens, it releases gentle flavour and aroma without sweetness or syrups.

It’s refreshing, unfussy, and makes even plain water feel considered.

(Optional additions: fresh mint, a splash of soda water, or a squeeze of fresh lemon if you have it.)

Indulgent Rituals

Slow, intentional treats made for lingering.

Indulgent rituals are about contrast — richness balanced with brightness, sweetness softened by citrus oils, familiar flavours made a little more considered. From desserts to cocktails, dried fruit adds aroma, texture, and depth without overwhelming the moment.

These are recipes for celebrating quietly, not rushing.

Panna Cotta with Dried Citrus

Indulgent Rituals

This was made at home using a classic panna cotta base.

Once set, it was finished with crushed dried blood orange and orange from Glow Pantry — sprinkled gently over the top without the rind. As the citrus softened against the cream, it released aroma and natural sweetness, adding contrast to the richness of the dessert.

Around the table, someone described the flavour as tasting like lollies — bright, nostalgic, and unexpected against the smooth panna cotta.

This isn’t about following a recipe exactly. It’s about using dried citrus as a finishing element — letting it sit, soften, and quietly transform a familiar dessert.

(Blood orange and orange work beautifully here, but lemon or mixed citrus would also suit.)

Easy Cocktail

Blood Orange Spritz

An easy cocktail that always feels like a treat.

Add ice to a glass, pour over prosecco or sparkling wine, and finish with a splash of soda water. Drop in a slice of dried blood orange and let it sit — the citrus oils bloom slowly, adding aroma and a subtle sweetness as you sip.

Light, bright, and effortless. Perfect for warm evenings when you don’t want to overthink it.

(Works just as beautifully as a mocktail with sparkling water.)
